About Events – “Wine Day” at the Wine House in Kachreti
A “Wine Day” was recently held at the Wine House in Kachreti in Georgia’s Kakheti region.
The Wine House is a vocational program of “Aisi” Vocational College and provides training to students in the traditional methods of wine-making and also supports local farmers with consultations, and testing, bottling and packing of their wines. In 2011, the Wine House bottled 6,250 bottles of local wines.
“Aisi” Vocational College offers training in 19 different vocations, including farming, wine-making, bee-keeping, fruit and vegetable cultivating, and cooking.
Visitors to the “Wine Day” had an opportunity to taste wines made by the students and to admire the interesting buildings in the grounds.
