About Sights – The Elene Akhvlediani House-Museum
Elene Akhvlediani (Georgian: ელენე ახვლედიანი) (1898–1975) was a 20th century Georgian painter, graphic artist, costume designer and theater decorator.
Akhvlediani is particularly known for her beautiful depictions of Georgian towns.
A year after her death, a museum was established in the house that she lived in. The Elene Akhvlediani House-Museum contains over three thousand items related to her life and her art, including pictorial and graphic artworks, theatrical sketches, costumes, book illustrations, photographs, and personal archives.
Opening hours: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm every day except Mondays.
