About Events – Scientific Picnic at Vake Park in Tbilisi
Ilia State University organized a Scientific Picnic at Vake Park in Tbilisi. The annual event, which is co-organized by City Hall, was an opportunity for students from schools and universities to show off their inventions and present the various fields of science in a fun and attractive way.
The first Scientific Picnic was held on the 29th of September 2012 in Vake Park, Tbilisi and was based on the successful model of the Polish Science Picnic of Polish Radio and the Copernicus Science Centre – Europe’s largest outdoor event dedicated to science.
The exhibits included drones, a 3D printer, robots, a virtual reality headset, and lots of cool scientific experiments.
The event attracted over 15,000 visitors.
