About Art – Gogi Chagelishvili
Georgian artist Gogi Chagelishvili (Georgian: გოგი ჩაგელიშვილი) was born in Tbilisi, Georgia in 1945. A graduate of Tbilisi State Academy of Arts (Georgian: თბილისის სახელმწიფო სამხატვრო აკადემია), his paintings are very expressive, impulsive and rich in color. His works are displayed in the Tretyakov State Gallery in Moscow and in art museums in Tbilisi, as well as in private collections throughout the world. The following paintings are from a series entitled “It’s Winter”.
